(Sugestão: pode usar "AIR DRY CLAY" em vez de argila normal - a vantagem é que não precisa ir ao forno e já encontramos uma embalagem no Intermarché por pouco mais de €1,50)

(TIP: you can use "AIR DRY CLAY")

 1 - Com o rolo da massa estende a argila para que fique com uma grossura homogénea de cerca de 0,5cm ou mais.

Roll out your oven-bake clay on a piece of baking paper until it’s approximately approx. 1/8″ thick or a bit more.

 

2 - Pode fazer seus próprios moldes, mas se for usar os moldes do tutorial - baixe-os AQUI - imprime-os em cartolina e recorte-os / Coloque os moldes sobre a argila, e recorte as formas cuidadosamente à volta com um x-acto ou uma faca.

 
If you are going to use a template, download it here, print it out onto cardboard and cut around it / Lay the pieces onto the clay and use the knife to carefully cut around the shapes. 

3 - Depois de recortar as peças, pegue numa base e aplique os lados, pressionando as peças entre si / Para que os vasinhos fiquem estanques, aplique mais um pouco de argila, e faça rolinhos finos que irá fixar nas junções das peças / Disfarce o excesso e usando uma pequena espátula, (pode ser um pauzinho de gelado), e assim selando as junções / Repita em todas as junções de peças, e em ambos os lados.

Once you have all the pieces cut out, take the base piece and press the two side pieces onto the ends. We want to make the pot watertight, so take a small piece of extra clay and roll it into a fairly thin snake shape. Place the ‘snake’ on the inside join (where the side meets the base). Using the smoothing tool, squash part of the ‘snake’ into the base of the pot and smooth it out. Then do the same to the top of the ‘snake’. I’ve tried to demonstrate in the photos above. Do the same to both sides.

 

4 - Aplique os outros lados da casinha - uma de cada vez - e repita a operação de selar as junções 

Add each side of the house to the base structure (one at a time), and using the same ‘snake’ technique, seal all the joins

6 - Quando tiver juntado e selado todas as peças, ponha a casinha no forno, seguindo cuidadosamente as instruções da embalagem / Vá espreitando a cozedura para ter a certeza que as peças não se desmantelam.

(Se usou "AIR DRY CLAY" deixe apenas secar seguindo as instruções do fabricante)

Once you’re sure that all the joins and cracks have been sealed, bake your pot using the instructions on the packet. Keep an eye on it in the oven to make sure that it’s keeping its shape.

(If you are using "AIR DRY CLAY" just let it dry following the instructions on the packet.

7 - Plante uma suculenta à sua escolha - As plantas suculentas necessitam de muito pouca água - regue de vez em quando com um vaporizador, ou deixe cair apenas algumas gotas pelos dedos, uma vez por semana.
